About Trip

Join Ashmita Trek & Tours in Bardia National Park to see wildlife that is found few other places on Earth! When people come to Nepal for a jungle safari, the first place they turn to is Chitwan National Pak. It is easily accessible from Kathmandu and offers most of what people want. However, Bardia National Park goes above and beyond, serving up exhilarating wildlife encounters that you will never forget. Bardia is known as being a better place to see the Royal Bengal Tiger, as well as other wild animals. Also, it is less touristy than Chitwan National Park. Travelers feel a closer connection to the unspoiled environment in Bardia.

Few places in the world give you the opportunity to see a wild tiger or rhinoceros on foot with nothing but air between you and the animal. No one leaves Bardia unsatisfied. You are guaranteed to see eye-to-eye with some magnificent species. Do not worry, if you do not have interest to see the animals on foot, there are other options for you!

Bardia National Park lies in the far-western region of Nepal, close to the India border. The unique place is a testament to Nepal’s extremely diverse geography, including its people, landscapes, and flora/fauna. Gain knowledge about the multitude of animals that live within the park, as well as the Tharu people who live around its edges. They have a unique lifestyle and speak a different language than other Nepalese. You will be fascinated to learn about their distinct way of life. At the end of the tour, we host a Tharu cultural program, where you can see their traditional dance and dress.

Discover Bardia National Park in three ways: elephant-back safari, jungle walk, and jeep safari. All three have their benefits and you are guaranteed to see wildlife on each of them. Even the peacefulness of the ever-present birds and deer put a smile on your face. Though, there is no greater rush of adrenaline than locking eyes with a Royal Bengal Tiger or a one-horned rhinoceros. Not to worry, though, our guides are trained professionals with years of experience in the park. You are safe in their hands.

Bardia National Park is a nature lover’s and wildlife photographer’s dream destination. It has been featured by many TV channels (including the Discovery Channel) for its incredible wildlife. There is always an animal wandering through the airy forests or lurking behind the tall meadow grasses. Whether it is the majestic swamp deer, the wild elephant, or one of the 400+ bird species, you are sure to be amazed.

As of now, few tourists even know that Bardia National Park exists! So, come check it out before any more people know about it. Take the Bardia Jungle Safari Tour anytime of the year. Just be aware of the climate of the area when booking your trip.  Ashmita Trek and Tours arranges the tour with full management, including transportation, meals, etc. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions!
