After your breakfast by 10am we drive 2.5 hours through Manebhanjyang to Dhotrey (8,500 feet). Enchanted by the colorful rhododendrons and forest flowers, we are get off at Dhotrey full of excitement. Dhotrey is a scenic village perched among the terraced hillsides overnight stay at Family Home stay.

After your breakfast and begin the journey through the dense forests to Tonglu (10,130 feet), which lies 6km from Dhotrey. Tonglu provides the best views of the trek. On a clear day, you can see two of the three highest peaks in the world (Mount Everest and Kanchenjunga). Bring your camera, because you might never get such dramatic mountain views like this again! Descend through a pleasant trail, teeming with herbs and small plants, until Tumling (9,600 feet), about 2km away. Again, get stunning views of the majestic Kanchenjunga peak.we overnight stay at Family Home stay.

Rise out of bed before the sun rises for a magical view of the Singalila and Chola ranges of Kanchenjunga from Tumling Top. Seeing the sunlight illuminate these peaks is an unforgettable sight. Hike down to Tumling for breakfast and then from here, the trail guides us downhill through Meghma and Lamhaydhura villages. In Tumling, we have a hearty traditional local meal, packed with energy for the rest of the day.Our final destination is Chitrey, about 9 km from Tumling overnight stay with friendly Tibetan bhutia home stay with family.

Useful Information

Accommodation you expect on Darjeeling - before and after trek :

Dear Guest we provide you a good family run home stay  – before and after your trek the rooms are mostly standard room Need and cleen with family home stay and there is some luxury 3/4 star accommodation available in Darjeeling so, if you want, we can book them for you for your Darjeeling stay so, do let us know if you want to upgrade your accommodation in Darjeeling 

Transports used during your tours - trek :

We at Ashmita Trek and Tours will provide private vehicles for the airport transfers pickup and droop and sightseeing tour in Darjeeling as per your trip ititnerys

Accommodation during your Trek : 

While you are on trek you will be staying with the local families in shared rooms. The rooms are clean with simple beds. It is preferable to take your sleeping bags with you even though quilts and blankets are provided in the local houses.do not expect luxury like TV, geyser 

Food during your Trek :

At the homestay you will be served with rice,chapatti, gundruk and sinki soup, dal (lentil soup), curries made out of locally grown organic vegetables etc. for your breakfast, lunch and dinner accordingly.

NOTE : In Nepalese culture the people offer food to the guests in order to show respect as they are considered as Gods.  But if any other local villager other than the host of the homestay you are staying in offers you food then please do not accept it as it may not have been prepared hygienically.

Toilet Facilitties :

The toilets in the village areas are not English toilets but the Indian ones like squat toilets on the ground made up of ceramic. We do not get toilet papers in these remote regions so you will have to carry your own stock of toilet papers.

Bathing & Laundry :

In some of the villages there are no attached bathrooms for bathing. They will have bathrooms outside of their homes. You will be provided with hot water if you require for bathing. The laundry is done manually  so you will have to wash your clothes on your own with soap and water.
