I joined a 4D3N trekking tour to visit Sandakuphu from Darjeeling city. I found this tour is ideal for people who wants to start winter mountain trekking as a beginner. I stayed at mountain houses with facility (power charging, bed, toilet, hot-water bag for heating bed, etc.), so I did not feel any stress in hygiene. The best part of this tour is to see Himalayan mountains when sun rise/set. The view of Kanchenjunga remained in my memory forever. continue reading

We went on a Tonglu-Tumling day trek with our guide Mr.Sangayji. It was one of the best experiences of our lives. We had a lovely 6 day of trekking to Singalila Ridge Sandakphu, the scenery was breathtaking with changing landscapes. It was a cool experience trekking along the borders of India and Nepal. The trekking is a fair distance (~15km) but relatively manageable, as it’s mostly on flat terrain with a few inclines. Needs some getting adjusted to the low altitude though.
