The 6-day trek was amazing. The views and the route at the different altitudes were mesmerising. The inputs provided by our guide Pemba on the 100-mile Himalayan run which on at the time and other such events which took place, the speciality of the cuisine, the practices that are followed by the people at the different locations we passed through, the vegetation, flowers like Rhododendrons, Iris and birds made the trek enjoyable. I was in Darjeeling recently and was able to connect with Subash at Ashmita Tours. Me and my companions ended up doing two tours with Subash. On our first day, we got the opportunity to visit a local tea plantation (and have a tasting), the Himalayan Mountain Institute, and the Tibetan Refugee Center. We did the early morning Tiger Hill sunrise over the mountains with a 12km trek down into Darjeeling with breakfast at a homestay (basically in the clouds). Ashwin was fantastic ensuring we were stood in the right place at the right time. We had minimal clouds and the view was spectacular! We thoroughly enjoyed our Singalila Trek from the 4th-9th November with our guide Tenzi. Tenzi was helpful, kind, attentive and supportive of us on the Trek - he was truly outstanding.Although the Trek is challenging from a physical point of view regular breaks helped us to keep going.
