Excellent 4 day trek. Subhash met us before the trek to explain the trek in detail. Our guide Rajen was also very helpful and the tea accomodation in the houses was also quiet nice given the location. The last day of the trek stay at Timburay was very nice, a small village consisting of just 7-8 houses, was perfect place to stay after finishing the trek. Ashmita offers one of the more expensive services in Darjeeling but their service is worth every rupee. I'm not experienced and have never treked for a couple of years. However, I'd like to go to the mountain in the north-east India and decided to trek there. As I had predicted, the treking was tough for me. But, the guid, Mr Pemba and the poter always supported me and arranged to my condition. We popped into Ashmita to get some advice about the sleeper bus to Kolkata. The whole family was there. All delightful. Contacted another agency in Siliguri and sorted tickets for us, all at no cost. All the time being helpful and super friendly. We then waited while they spoke with other clients about trekking.
