The drive through the pine forest on the Darjeeling - Mirik Road, especially after Ghum was wonderful. We took a side road from Sukhia to reach Maneybhanjan. The road was bumpy but the pine forests made us forget all our troubles. The tour from Chitrey to Tonglu and to Tumling was done in a Landrover. It was wonderful. Very professional tour agency. They are full of knowledge about the area and have many activities available. We chose to do a one day hike in the Singalila Ridge and it was fantastic. We had an awesome time trekking the 4d/3n Singalila Ridge Trek with our fantastic guide Pemba Sherpa!As we were travelling in low season we actually only met two other trekkers on the way.You should be aware that the first day leads you on a path next to a road where all the Indian tourists take their jeeps up to Sanakphu.
